Due to health reasons, the President of CNA Lombardia, Giovanni Bozzini, was unable to attend the meeting and was replaced by Vice President (and President of CNA Lario e Brianza) Pasquale Diodato,
who illustrated the current suboptimal situation, which cannot be resolved unilaterally by the new government but only in concert with businesses, engaging among others with CNA. CNA represents 190,000 small businesses in Italy, 24,000 of which are in Lombardia, with no political affiliation, but with the aim of helping artisans and small to medium-sized enterprises solve the various problems they face in the course of their work.
Assistance was provided by state bonuses, especially for construction companies. Unfortunately, not everyone acted correctly, and some took advantage, even creating companies from scratch (without registering with CNA).
Another problem concerning construction entrepreneurs is the need for inspections to be carried out on those known to be working improperly, rather than harassing everyone indiscriminately and creating significant problems for those following the rules.
There were many interventions from those present who, somewhat controversially, asked for further clarification regarding CNA’s monitoring activities of its members.
Stefano Binda, secretary to regional president Giovanni Bozzini, also spoke on these issues, providing various clarifications on the activities carried out by CNA and sharing some anecdotes regarding the political background that determines how laws are formulated in parliament.
