1912
Rotary becomes an international organization. The club emblem should feature a wheel with gears carved into the outer edge. The spokes should be designed to indicate strength. The purpose of the gears was twofold: to soften the simplicity of the design and to symbolize vigor.
1923
The wheel now has 24 teeth and a central notch for the axle, becoming a true symbol of functionality and action.
As of 2013, the modern emblem has retained the 1923 design with the inclusion of the word Rotary next to the Rotary Wheel, highlighting the colors blue and gold, which represent Excellence, Leadership, and Commitment to Humanitarian Service.
